1. Anti-Static Plastic Bags Without Surfactants
Resin products such as polyethylene and polypropylene, which are the materials of plastic bags, are “insulators” that are charged with static electricity.
Therefore, plastic bags have the property of accumulating static electricity that exists in the surrounding air and that is generated by friction and collision.
When a plastic bag is charged with static electricity, “the static electricity of the film attracts dust and adheres to the film.”
Therefore, when used in clean rooms or in cases where static electricity directly leads to defects, “anti-static plastic bags” are used to release the charged static electricity into the air.
This success story is about Company A, which was already using anti-static plastic bags.
The problem was the “surfactant-kneaded” anti-static plastic bag that Company A was using. “Anti-static plastic bags with surfactants kneaded in” achieve an anti-static effect by eluting fine additives (surfactants) on the film surface.
However, these additives adhered to the products manufactured and packaged by Company A, resulting in complaints.
Therefore, we propose anti-static plastic bags that “do not use surfactants.” Since the resin itself has an anti-static effect, there is no need to use additives (surfactants).
Moreover, unlike additives that vary in anti-static effect depending on the degree of elution, a stable anti-static effect can be obtained.
Use anti-static plastic bags that do not use surfactants for static electricity control!

2. Life in the Philippines Diary
In this issue, I will talk about spending a day at a shopping mall.
There are many shopping malls in the Philippines, including SM, Ayala, and others.
This time, I visited SM Megamall. As the name “Mega” suggests, it is simply vast and huge. Therefore, it is easy to get lost. Walking around, I noticed that there are restaurants everywhere.
I had lunch at Din Tai Fung. Din Tai Fung is a restaurant famous for its xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), which originated in Taiwan and has locations in Japan as well. I had never eaten there before, so this was my first time.
Everything I ate, including the xiaolongbao, was delicious. It was crowded from lunchtime and was very prosperous. Also, the staff’s operations were manualized and very efficient.
After that, I went to a movie theater in the shopping mall. They were showing Japanese movies and anime, so I took this opportunity to watch One Piece. There were many people in the theater, and I was surprised that there are so many anime fans in the Philippines.
However, there is one problem with movie theaters in the Philippines: it is extremely cold inside. I went without knowing that and caught a cold the next day. A jacket is a must.
I don’t go to shopping malls very often, but I had a very fulfilling day eating a delicious lunch, walking around, and watching a movie.
