In this issue, I would like to talk about how I’ve been spending my time during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Due to quarantine measures caused by COVID-19, restaurants still have restrictions on the number of people allowed inside. Shopping centers lack the liveliness they had before the pandemic, and many stores have closed down.
As a result, my lifestyle has changed, and I spend more time at home. So, I started something new: cooking for myself.
I had never cooked proper meals in my life before. So, I started by getting seasonings from a Japanese grocery store.
By following recipes and making hot pot dishes, I realized that I could actually cook delicious food. I would like to take this opportunity to try new dishes and learn to cook various things.
However, sometimes I feel lonely when I spend a lot of time alone at home. I hope that the COVID-19 pandemic will end soon and we can return to our previous lives.
