1. Additives in Polyethylene Bags
Additives are mixed into polyethylene to enhance its properties or improve its processability.

While polyethylene itself has excellent properties such as flexibility and water resistance, adding additives allows us to create products better suited for specific applications.

Main Additives in Polyethylene and Their Roles:

Antioxidants: Polyethylene deteriorates when it reacts with oxygen in the air. Adding antioxidants slows down this deterioration and extends the life of the product.

Domestically produced antioxidants are known for their superior performance compared to foreign ones.
Slip Agents: These improve the processability of polyethylene and make the surface of the product smoother.

These are crucial additives for stabilizing film production.
Anti-blocking Agents: These prevent polyethylene films from sticking to each other, making them easier to handle.

Imagine creating a slightly uneven surface to prevent sticking.
Other (Special Applications): Pigments for coloring, anti-static agents, and anti-rust agents may be used as additives.

2. Life in the Philippines Diary
This time, I’d like to talk about golfing in Intramuros, a historic city in the Philippines.

The other day, I played golf at the Intramuros golf course.

One of the appeals of this golf course is its unique design. The course is sandwiched between the historical structures of Intramuros, making the already narrow course even more challenging. The course itself is also short, with a par of 66.

Every time I saw the walls and buildings of Intramuros during my play, I felt a strange sensation, wondering, “Am I really allowed to play golf in such a historic place?”

Some holes are adjacent to the road, and you can hear the sounds of cars and jeepneys when teeing off. The combination of tension and thrill made for a unique golfing experience unlike any other.

The playing fee is reasonable, around 2,000 pesos! I felt it was a real bargain to be able to enjoy this special experience of playing golf in the city at this price.

I had a very fulfilling day, enjoying a fresh golfing experience with the lively sounds of cars and jeepneys as background music, which is typical of the Philippines.
