1. Thick Plastic Bags Used by Construction Companies
This case study features S Company, a construction company.

In addition to construction, S Company also carries out building demolition.

Various waste materials generated during demolition are subject to legal regulations regarding disposal and transportation methods.

While plastic bags are sometimes used, they need to be securely packaged and must not tear in certain situations.

S Company requested a film thickness of 0.15 mm.

A thickness of 0.15 mm is considered “extremely thick” for plastic bags and is rarely seen. However, they requested this thickness because they absolutely wanted to “prevent tearing.”

Unfortunately, even with a thickness of 0.15 mm, we cannot guarantee that the bag will not tear.

However, thick, strong films are effective for packaging items with protrusions, items that must not leak out of the bag, and heavy objects.

Although it has a hard and stiff feel, the “0.15 mm thick” plastic bag provides a sense of security.

2. Life in the Philippines Diary
This month, I would like to talk about heatstroke.

Recently, the Philippines has been experiencing a continuous heat wave due to the El Niño phenomenon. It is not uncommon for temperatures to exceed 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit).

The other day, I went to play a round of golf. However, I became ill due to the extreme heat and experienced heatstroke-like symptoms.

I was hydrating properly, but around the 13th hole, I started to feel dizzy and my vision blurred. I managed to move to a shaded area and take a break, so it didn’t become a serious problem.

Even after returning home, I felt sluggish, but I fully recovered the next day after getting some sleep.

This experience made me realize the importance of health once again. It’s hot outside, everyone, so please be careful of heatstroke.
