1. Packaging Materials that Reduce Waste
To respond to the philosophy of SDGs, an increasing number of companies are working to reduce waste.

This time, we introduce a success story from E company, a chemical manufacturer.

After hearing about E company’s waste reduction initiatives, we made the following proposal:

“Change to three-layer polyethylene plastic bags”

E company was originally using 0.1 mm thick plastic bags when moving raw materials, but we had them switch to stronger three-layer poly bags.

Since three-layer poly bags are stronger than single-layer poly bags (most common ones are single-layer), 0.07 mm three-layer polyethylene has almost the same strength as 0.1 mm single-layer polyethylene.

The strength remains the same, but the thickness is reduced by 30%, so the weight is reduced by 30% when disposing of the plastic bag.

2. Life in the Philippines Diary
In this issue, I will talk about watching professional baseball.

My hobby is watching professional baseball. I rarely watch baseball games broadcast from the Philippines, but I watch highlights on YouTube.

The official YouTube channels of each team stream highlights, making them accessible from overseas.

My favorite team is the Hanshin Tigers. I naturally became a Hanshin fan because my parents used to watch televised Hanshin games when I was a child.

This year’s Hanshin team is strong and is currently in first place by a wide margin. Unlike in previous years, they are strong in close games and often win by one point.

In recent years, their relief pitchers have had the reputation of being the best in the 12 teams, but this year, in addition to the relief pitchers, the starting pitchers have also become more reliable. I feel that the pieces for winning the championship have finally come together.

Winning the championship for the first time in 18 years is just around the corner. I’m not used to winning after such a long time, and it feels very strange, but I’m looking forward to seeing them win the championship.
